Chainstitch Hemming Jeans ServiceAlterations
Order chain stitch hemming online for any brand of jeans or denim styled pants
We revolutionized chain stitch hemming service setting the standard all others try to follow. While competitors required filling out time-consuming forms and emailed inquiries, we made it fast & easy to receive true factory quality denim alterations with a few clicks, no matter where you are in the world.
USA: Low-cost 2-way shipping. We email you a label to ship your jeans to us, and we return ship your items. $18 covers any amount of jeans in your order.
International: 1-way shipping is available. Customers outside of the USA must ship items for alterations to us. We provide return shipping.
NYC Drop-Off Service
We service the NYC area offering Drop-Off & in-person services. Please note, we are no longer located inside Brooklyn Denim Co. We moved into our own new studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. No appointments are required, we are open 11 am - 6 pm Monday through Saturday. Order from the website, and stop by anytime during regular business hours.
Online: We would advise online NEXT-DAY as the most reliable. We do not guarantee SAME-DAY because it depends on the time shipments arrive. PLEASE WRITE "RUSH" ON THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR BOX!
We service most all brands of jeans. As an example, our most serviced jeans are Levi's, followed closely by Gustin and Nudie jeans (because we can add the bartacks). The Flat Head, Iron Heart, Samurai, Oni Denim, Sugar Cane, and The Strike Gold fans love us because we can handle heavyweight denim. Collectors of other Japanese favorites like Pure Blue Japan, Momotaro Jeans, and Big John also trust us with their denim. American made regulars serviced include 3Sixteen, Brave Star, Roy Denim, Railcar, Leftfield NYC, Tellason, Raleigh Denim, Taylor Stitch, and Freenote Cloth. We also hem a great deal of Naked & Famous, Supreme, Unbranded, Wrangler & Lee vintage jeans, and A.P.C.'s, often with the request to add regular-sized chain stitch hem.
Disclaimer: We do perform multiple thread stitching construction as seen on many True Religion & Buckle jeans. Only chain stitch hems can be provided.
Bar Tacked Hem
Few brands add bar tacking on the hems. Gustin denim, which uses a red bar tack, and Nudie jeans are a few brands that do. We think it is unnecessary and is more about branding or decoration, however, it does add an extra layer of protection. The chain stitch is made to be easily pulled apart in one direction if you can grab it, just right, from the end.
Fast, Quality Service
Standard hemming service is usually 2-3 days. We do our bests to match the manufactured original aesthetic in hem size and thread color. Delivery times are extended around Holidays.
We know admirers of raw denim mostly avoid washing their jeans for as long as possible. That’s why we will accept denim that have been worn and soiled. However, please try ship your jeans to us relatively clean. We do reserve the right not to work on smelling soiled clothing. Please avoid sending jeans with lots of animal hairs by removing hairs before shipping.
If you do not have a way to precisely measure your inseam, select "Follow My Markings" in the INSEAM ALTERATION dropdown. You can cuff, press, pin, or mark the desired length on your jeans. Only 1-leg is preferred if you choose this method to avoid delays from uneven marking.

I couldn't recommend this service enough. I sent Maurice a pair of APCs with Rush service -- sent in the jeans Tuesday and received them with an identical to original hem on the finished product Friday afternoon. I will definitely be a repeat customer!
WGC promptly answered a question I had after I had placed my hemming order. The chain stitching on my jeans looks beautiful and is exact to the measurements I requested. I shipped my jeans from Boston. Most likely you spent $$$ on your jeans so why settle for bad quality tailors? I will definitely continue to send my jeans to WGC in the future. Thanks to all the hardworking professionals at WGC.
Awesome job on the hem! Just what my selvedge called for and I’m now a repeat customer bringing all my denim work. Thanks!
I did have 2 pair hemmed a while ago and it was just perfect. The communication was great too
Great service, quick turn around. Overall great experience. The only thing i would change is having an option to where the stitch is quarter inch from the bottom of the pants instead of half an inch, but then again thats my fault for not being specific. I would definitely use their service again!
Very quick turn around, within 10 days after sent in, but paid for red contrast to match the original of Gustin and get the yellow instead. Someone need to QC before shipping back. Disappointed.
Great work and a very quick turnaround.Had me jeans hemmed here once and will be coming back...
I hardly ever post reviews online but this service deserves it. In addition, the turnaround was quick and customer service was awesome. Living in a small town it was impossible to find someone to hem jeans correctly. Williamsburg Garment has earned a loyal customer.
If you need to alter your jeans you better get the chainstitch hemming. It’s the only way that will allow your jeans to look just like when you bought them. Any other way and it’ll never look right.
