We offer a range of alteration services to ensure the perfect fit for your garments. Choose the service that best meets your needs:

Rush Services

Need your alterations done quickly? We offer two rush service options:

  • 1 to 3 Day Rush: Your order is prioritized and we aim to complete it within 1 to 3 business days (weekends and holidays excluded).
  • 4 to 10 Day Rush: Your order is prioritized and we aim to complete it within 4 to 10 business days (weekends and holidays excluded).

Please note: While we make every effort to meet the estimated timeframes for rush services, they are not guaranteed. Factors such as staff availability, order volume, and the complexity of alterations can sometimes cause delays. Rush fees are non-refundable once work on your garment has begun.

Standard Service

Standard service orders are completed as soon as possible, but are processed after rush orders.

    Alterations done well. They took a bit longer than what I paid for via rush service due to a lot of orders, but they made it right with a $25 dollar credit.

    Needed a pair of 21oz Iron Heart denim tapered and hemmed and the work was impeccably done. I could not recommend Williamsburg Garment Co more highly for denim alterations! I have since brought them several more pairs of Japanese denim for alterations. If you live in the area, stop by the shop. Maurice is awesome, has great style and gave me good advice on the optimal length, taper and cuffing options. He also makes his own jeans and they look beautiful!

    This is the second time I’ve used Williamsburg to taper a pair of 25oz Iron Heart jeans. Both times they have done an outstanding job. This time is wanted them a little looser fitting than the first and they were spot on once again and I couldn’t be happier. I will only use them for my selvedge tapering going forward.

How to Measure Inseams

We added a dropdown for inseam type because, when tapering jeans from the inseam (the proper approach), the inseam's design influences how long it takes to taper jeans and pants. Contrary to lockstitching, which hinders the ability to disassemble the garment, chain stitching enables rapid disassembly. Garments made with basic lockstitching require us to handpick the inseam sewing apart, which can easily add an hour or more to the operation. For example, we found a few brands that typically have lockstitched inseams: Tellason and Paige. You should anticipate paying a higher price to tailor these branded jeans.

People frequently ask, "What is bar tacking?" Our typical response is that it is the zigzag-like stitch found on belt loops and other spots to lend strength or support to garments. Some brands, such as Gustin and Nudie, employ it as a branding detail, but it is not required for chain-stitched hems. However, it can help keep the chain stitch from unraveling.
