Known as a staple of Marilyn Monroe’s wardrobe and an iconic fixture of ‘50s fashion, these black selvedge jeans are not just an article of clothing; they're a piece of living history. For this release, TCB has produced a limited run of the Norma jeans in black for the first time, offering an exciting new twist on the classic.
Made in Kojima, Japan, from TCB’s proprietary 11-ounce selvedge denim and sulfur-dyed black on both the interior and exterior of the fabric, these jeans will retain their pitch-black hue before gradually fading to deep grey. TCB’s dedication to historical authenticity shines through in the smallest details, including the handcrafted paper patch, hidden back pocket rivets, basket-woven white selvedge ID, and period-accurate Gripper Zipper fly.
Perfectly replicating the classic fits of the 1950s, these jeans have an extra-high rise, a snug waist, ample room through the hips, and a straight leg. Their flattering, curved fit harkens back to glossy magazines, I Love Lucy, and the glamour of the postwar era. Great black jeans!
I have been looking for a vintage or repro pair of black selvedge jeans that were a similar shape to the rib cage Levi’s. I love these so much and they are a great price. The only thing I wish was different on them is the zipper, I would have loved for them to have been button fly. Everything else is great! The fit is great, I referred to the size guide provided here
