It's a great time to be in Greenpoint or the nearby neighborhood of Williamsburg, because just steps away from our studio, the Louis Vuitton and Nike "Air Force 1" by Virgil Abloh Exhibition is happening. It showcases 47 pairs of bespoke Nike Air Force 1's, symbolizing the fusion of high fashion and sportswear within the streetwear/hip-hop community. Celebrating Virgil's work, and showcasing Black subculture's influence on the mainstream.
We invite those coming for the exhibition to stop by Williamsburg Garment Co. for world-class denim alterations or custom-made jeans. With our same-day, while-you-wait hemming service, we could have your jeans tailored by the time you leave the exhibition.
How To Get In?
The show is FREE to attend. No ticket is needed (unless you want a Fast Pass), just hop in line and enjoy the exhibit. There is fencing in the front that wraps around the side of the building, security will be standing at the entrance to the line.
It could be intimidating at first. I was not sure if I needed a ticket or had to be on a guest list, but everyone was super friendly and helpful. If you have a Fast Pass you can skip to the front half of the line. It's a lot like waiting in line for a roller coaster.
Located at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse on 73 West Street, Brooklyn. The exhibition will be open from 10 am to 9 pm, May 21st through May 31st, 2022.
Once inside, you go down a Louis Vuitton Monogrammed hallway with a sign that reads: "Dream Now." After you round the corner, you are transported into a surreal landscape of fashion and art. In a place where digital meets the tangible, gravity seems to be optional, while colors and mirrors dazzle the viewer.
