A fit comparison of Williamsburg and Gustin fits – Hope Street vs Skinny Fit

This fit guide compares two American made jeans brands. In this review of the Skinny Fit spec, you’ll find the Hope Street measurements are larger in every spec except the front rise and leg opening. This should be common when comparing a slim fit to a skinny jean. Hope Street has a tapered leg opening and is the smallest in our collection from the knee to the hem.

In general, we think the Gustin skinny jeans fit about 1 ½ to 2 sizes smaller than the Hope Street. You can order a size down in Hope and remain with a larger waist and thigh but get a slightly smaller seat and smaller rise and leg opening. These are two very different fitting jeans.

Measurements are taken from actual production samples. Our recorded specs may differ slightly from jean to jean, so we average and take into consideration the targeted measurements. When comparing sizing, please note, we use total circumference measurements in our fit charts. Others may use 1/2-circumference.
