Made in the USA jeans fit comparison between slim-straight and slim tapered jeans – AG Matchbox vs Williamsburg Hope Street
he AG Matchbox fit from Adriano Goldschmied is a slim-straight jean while the Hope Street are slim tapered. Both styles are American made jeans, the AG jeans have a fabricated aged wash, while Hope Street is raw denim. If you have never worn raw jeans, expect the Williamsburg jeans to be more rigid and less comfortable than the AG jeans. However, after natural aging has occurred, you’ll find nothing beats the look of raw denim after natural fading and you’ll never look at pre-washed jeans the same again.
The leg open of the slim tapered Hope jeans is nearly 2” smaller, knee 1" smaller while Hope's thigh is 3/4" larger. The seat and front rises are very close, while the Hope Street have a larger waistband opening. These are very different fitting jeans because of the waist, thigh and leg opening, so we say a try-on of the same size or down 1 size in the Hope Street jeans is suggested.
