Iron Heart jeans alterations
Check-out this pair of tapered Iron Heart jeans. There was no way to match the original thread color at the inseam and hem because the jeans were over-dyed navy blue and poly/cotton thread couldn't take-in the dye in the poly fibers. The customer decided to customize the look with tone-on-tone navy blue topstitching at the inseam, saying he didn't prefer contrast stitching at the inseam. The contrast yellow chain stitch at the underside of the hem provided a little hidden detail.
The jeans were shortened about 1-inch, as you can see by the scraps. The hem was tapered, from the knee down, trimming off about 2-inches total circumference.
