This specific Unbranded jean is made in heavy weight rigid selvedge, so keep in mind, if you own this same Unbranded style, expect a huge difference in the level of comfort when comparing a heavy rigid denim to a light weight stretch. To have the same type of jeans fit the same, in different fabrics, the non-stretch would have to be larger in most areas because the stretch gives in the width.

The Williamsburg skinny, is smaller at the waist by ½ inch and seat by 3 inches. The front rise, thigh and leg opening on the Unbranded jeans are all 1 inch larger. There is a minor dissimilarity at the inseam length of only ¼ inch.

Our conclusion. We believe the Unbranded, although larger at the waist, would fit slightly snugger at the waist because of no stretch. You should have a bit more room at the seat with a longer rise. The 1-inch difference at the thigh is about what is needed for the same fit between stretch and non-stretch. In closing, we believe you should wear the same size in both jeans.

Measurements are taken from actual production samples. Our recorded specs may differ slightly from jean to jean, so we average and take into consideration the targeted measurements. When comparing sizing, please note, we use total circumference measurements in our fit charts. Others may use 1/2-circumference.
