Slim Grand Street vs J. Crew 484 - Slim Fit
This guide compares men’s slim fit jeans, featuring the J. Crew 484 vs Grand Street fit, from Williamsburg. Both reviewed styles are raw denim models. The Williamsburg jeans are produced in some of the last remaining American made fabric from Cone Mills White Oak plant in North Carolina and the jeans are made in the USA. The J. Crew 484 was made in China.
The measurement chart shows the hips to waist to be roughly the same, only 1/8” to 1/4” difference in the Grand Street at the seat, waist opening and front rise. The Williamsburg jeans are slightly larger at the thigh by 1/2” and the leg opening has a ¾” difference. We say, you should wear the same size in the 484 slim fit as the Grand Street.
Measurements are taken from actual production samples. Our recorded specs may differ slightly from jean to jean, so we average and take into consideration the targeted measurements. When comparing sizing, please note, we use total circumference measurements in our fit charts. Others may use 1/2-circumference.
