The return of raw denim straight leg jeans for men

One of the brand favorites has just been restocked after some sizes have been sold out for nearly a year. The raw denim straight leg jeans for men is back and selling fast. Produced in 11.5 standard (non-selvedge) denim, the South 2nd Street is one of our more popular styles because it’s our most basic, straight edge style.

Fit details

We describe the fit as a relaxed straight jean. Opposed to many straight jeans with long rises and/or baggy fits, the South 2nd Street has a clean modern look. We got rid of all the excess fabric while giving the jeans enough room to look and feel comfortable. The leg falls straight down from the knee so there’s no taper.

Why are raw jeans better than pre-washed jeans?

Raw jeans are preferred by denim enthusiasts over washed jeans quite simply because washed jeans look too artificial. Once you’ve experienced naturally aging your jeans from long periods of wear, you clearly see the difference between genuinely aged and fabricated vintage washes. In general, washes on lower cost jeans usually look more inferior while more expensive washes tend to be too excessive.

Some people can’t get into raw denim because there is too much to learn and too many rules, while pre-washed jeans require little, to no special attention. Another thing is comfort. Some people believe the stiff hand feel equals lack of comfort and prefer the soft hand of pre-washed denim jeans. On the other hand, raw denim with a soft, flimsy hand feel usually means the denim is of lower quality.
