A fit comparison of Williamsburg slim and slim tapered fits – Grand Street vs Hope Street

Considering all WGC jean fits, Hope Street has the largest waist opening and is the slimmest from the knee to the leg opening. We call Hope Street our tweener fit, because you could go a size down from the Grand Street if you have thin legs to get an exceptionally slim fit. Guys with a wide waistline build fit Hope just fine. In other body types, you’ll have a little extra room at the waist, requiring a belt.

Hope has a 1 ½” larger waist and ½” larger seat than Grand. The front rise is 5/8” lower and thigh ½” smaller. The leg opening is our smallest at 13 ¼” on size 32. Because Grand is our #1 seller, it’s available in the most style options.

Measurements are taken from actual production samples. Our recorded specs may differ slightly from jean to jean, so we average and take into consideration the targeted measurements. When comparing sizing, please note, we use total circumference measurements in our fit charts. Others may use 1/2-circumference.
