12.5-oz Slim Standard American Selvedge Raw Denim Jeans - GRAND STWilliamsburg Garment Company
12.5-oz slim raw denim American made selvedge jeans
Style & Fit: Grand Street | Slim
The Grand Street 12.5-oz is the perfect all-weather weight jean. As our best-selling fit, guys like the medium rise and slim look, with just the right amount of room from the thigh, down through the legs.
Fabric & Care: Raw Denim
The fabric was our last purchase directly from Cone and is U.S. made White Oak selvedge denim. The fabric has a body and hand feel that is well balanced between crisp and soft with a nice blue cast. Most fans of raw jeans will wear jeans for months without wash and they grow in size. After washing, you should expect about a size or 5% overall shrinkage based on the original fit. For more details refer to our guide on raw denim stretch and shrinkage.
Made in USA: Quality
Our mission since day one has been to provide the best jeans made in USA at a reasonable price. For the last few decades, made in USA brands have become rarer, especially those also produced in U.S. manufactured denim. We thank you for supporting our brand and mission.

Love Love Love my jeans.... now ive ordered the brown canvas jeans...
Great jeans, beautiful denim, great stitching.I'd recommend sizing down cause the denim does stretch pretty quickly. Top notch hands customer service too
I just want to thank Maurice for this pair of jeans I just received here in S. Korea - I've been having quite the trouble trying to find a pair of mid-weight, raw, selvedge denim in my size for the good part of last year. I'm working with 33 in the waist and 24 in the thighs. I was looking for a pair that accommodates those dimensions AND are narrow in the leg opening & knee. Front & Back rise were also important too. I've looked everywhere for a pair like this (N&F, Unbranded, various crowdfunded online stores, rawrdenimscout etc etc). Well, WGC popped up one day in my search and I found the Grand St fit. I pulled the trigger because, why not? Fast forward about two weeks (today), I try the pants on and bang! The fit's like a glove for me. Even the 34'' inseam is perfect for stacking or cuffing for me. The concern I had over 12.5oz weight being too light was unwarranted - it really does feel stiff above its weight, like a pair of 14.25oz cone mills that I also have. This is the FIRST pair of raw, selvedge denim that won't be going to the tailor to get hemmed and narrowed for me and I'm stoked. I'm gonna take pleasure breaking this is right here. It's also a great relief that I finally found a company that knows my fit!
It is hard for me to find pants that fit. WGC Grand Streets are that perfect pair. I am writing this review after purchasing a third pair of the Grand St. They come pretty stiff and dark, and you look square when you first try them on. But after you wear them for a couple months and get them dirty and faded, they really start to look great. I like the fit of the Grands. They are slim, but not constricting. I bike a lot, and the slim leg stays out of the chainwheel, but the butt area has enough movement for dismounting and comfortable pedaling. WGC is a small company, and there are growing pains that go along with that. However, the product is great and the price is really what keeps me coming back - MADE IN USA for under $200 per pair! As long as Grand Streets are available, they will be my go-to denim purchase when my current pair has too many holes to become socially acceptable.
Jeans are expertly made. Perfect stitching, fit, and overall look. I have tried many raw jeans and this one fits true to size. I have a stocky build and squat regularly and have found a slim fit denim jean that fits my butt and thighs. They have a taper and rise that proportionately fit a man. I expect them to break in nicely.
Looking back on the 1973 Levi 501' "Shrink-to-Fits" I wore as a Timber Cruiser, these bring back many memories. Fabric quality, stitching and workmanship are far better in these "Grand Streets" then those SF Manufactured one's. The fit is accurate and the material is high quality. Other than a thinner wallet I do not see what could be "better" by spending two or three times more for similar offerings no matter what the origin. These are high quality and give up nothing to other manufacturers products. Most important, made here in the USA with fabric from North Carolina, and hand crafted in New York, NY! Thank you Maurice for the phone call just to be sure of the order. Here's to your continuing success.
The size I ordered was on backorder. When I contacted them to inquire about a timeline for shipping, Maurice responded promptly. He let me know that he'd check retail stores in the area to see if he could get some in my size...and that's exactly what he did. It's hard to beat a great product that's made in the USA and backed by amazing customer service. I can't say enough good about these jeans and this company! Keep up the great work, Maurice.
Just what you need when the market is flooded with jeans that are too decorated, too flashy, too over-washed... I could go on and on. It's about time things go back to the basics. Raw. Dark. Well designed fit. And of course, selvedge. Just how we want our jeans.
Since my first contact with Williamsburg, my experience has been absolutely phenomenal. I ordered a pair of Grand Streets in size 30/32 (what I had worn with previous jeans), but they turned out to be a little small. Williamsburg was happy to let me return the jeans for a refund and order a new pair. The jeans are of extremely high quality, and I've loved them since I first tried them on. They're both durable and stylish. I can't even begin to describe the difference between my Grand Streets and the numerous other pairs of jeans I've worn. Everyone I've spoken to has complimented them and asked where I purchased them, and I naturally referred them to Williamsburg. If I'm ever in need of a pair of jeans in the future, I know where I'll get them!
